Action Management/OI Partner's Executive
Outplacement Program
LEVEL: Executives/Senior Management
OBJECTIVE: The Executive Outplacement program
aids executives and senior management in transitioning smoothly
to new, fulfilling positions or careers.
BENEFITS: Action Management/OI Partners offers
a comprehensive Executive Career Transition Program that incorporates
a wide range of career management issues. Individuals are provided
with an assessment of their own management and interpersonal styles
which assists them in evaluating career alternatives, including
re-employment, self-employment, purchase of a business and other
significant career options. The Executive Outplacement program helps
individuals regain control over life and career decisions and helps
to lower the duration of the job search. The program provides:
- Support of consultants who are sensitive to the needs of highly
placed executives;
- Exploration of a range of options;
- State-of-the-art technical resources; and
- Private, well appointed offices.
PROCESS: Our Executive Outplacement program follows
a logical process of: EXECUTIVE EVALUATION: The
evaluation is conducted in three consulting sessions and follows
exercises in the Action Management/OI Partners workbook. The sessions
are devoted to assessing the needs of the candidate, discussing
career transition issues, and analyzing the candidate’s personal
history, which is developed by the candidate and the consultant.
The analysis uncovers behavior patterns and trends established over
a period of many years in the candidate’s life and career.
Areas of strength are identified and focused on; adverse factors
are analyzed in terms of possible remedial action.
CAREER ASSESSMENT: After the evaluation, the candidate
works with the consultant on developing a personal mission statement,
which results in a career objective. A resume is developed, as well
as a biography and a marketing strategy (including networking list)
that reflects the candidate’s aspirations and the realities
of the marketplace.
RESOURCE BANK: Each office has a resource bank
of local and regional professionals in fields that are useful to
Executive Outplacement candidates, such as financial consulting,
venture capital, computer skills development, and image consulting.
Together with their counselor, candidates choose those professionals
they would benefit from meeting.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING: Executive Outplacement
candidates are assigned only to members of the Quality Management
Team or other designated senior consultants. Special training is
provided for the consultants. Candidates are encouraged to meet
with their consultant at least once a week. Ongoing one-on-one consulting
is provided until the candidate has successfully started in a new
position.
